H.E. Habibu Awesi Mohamed, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Qatar, met with Tanzanian diaspora leaders in Doha to strengthen coordination and unity within the community.
During the meeting, he presented the final draft of the Tanzania Diaspora Constitution, developed through consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and other stakeholders. The draft is now ready for final input ahead of its official adoption and launch at a general assembly of Tanzanians in Qatar.
The meeting also emphasized improving communication through a unified platform. Diaspora leaders welcomed the initiative and committed to reviewing the draft promptly, marking a key step toward stronger organization and contribution to national development and Tanzania–Qatar relations.
