Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the State of Qatar His Excellency Habibu Awesi Mohamed met with Mr. Nasser Mohammed Al Marri, Chairman of the Doha International Consulting Group in Doha, Qatar on 29th January 2025.
The meeting is part of Tanzania's efforts to promote social and economic cooperation with the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, the two had an opportunity to discuss job opportunities for the qualified Tanzanian youths in the State of Qatar in the areas of hospitality industry, oil and gas, agriculture, transportation, aviation, and technical fields like plumbing. They also explored the possibility of bringing students and youths to pursue internship in the agriculture sector in the state of Qatar and youth from the BBT project has been hinted as a better choice to begin with.
The two leaders agreed to expedite the signing of the contract between Doha International Consulting Group and the top Tanzanian employment agencies to facilitate the coordination of the recruitment procedures for the opened positions in Qatar.
The chairman of Doha International Consulting Group Mr. Al Marri stressed the importance of having a database for different fields as a key way to facilitate employment opportunities for Tanzanians.
They further highlighted the importance of developing training programs that align with the needs of the Qatar job market, focusing on high-demand sectors such as construction, healthcare, and technology.
They agreed that Integrating Tanzanian youth into these fields is a strategic step towards reducing unemployment and promoting national economic development in Tanzania.
