On 13th March 2025, in Doha, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Qatar Mr. Marat Nuraliev met His Excellency Habibu Awesi Mohamed, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Republic of Tanzania in the State of Qatar. The meeting served as a courtesy call and provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to communicate the Kyrgyz Republic's intentions to establish formal diplomatic relations with the United Republic of Tanzania. The meeting held at the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania Office in Doha, Qatar.
Both parties discussed issues of developing cooperation within international organizations and mutual support for candidates for elected bodies. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of such collaboration for the benefit of both nations and the broader international community.
In addition, the Ambassador extended a warm invitation to the few higher government officials and dignitaries of the United Republic of Tanzania to attend the upcoming “Global Mountain Dialogue for Sustainable Development/Towards the Summit Bishkek+25”, to be held in the Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on April 24-25, 2025. The Summit is expected to be a significant event, promoting international cooperation and dialogue on environmental and global issues.
The meeting marks an important step in the continued strengthening of bilateral ties between the Kyrgyzstan Republic and the United Republic of Tanzania, and both parties expressed optimism about the potential for future collaboration.
