H.E. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) Eng. Abdulaziz bin Ahmad Al Mahmoud met with a delegation from the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) of the United Republic of Tanzania on the 24th of April, 2025.
During the meeting, both sides discussed existing areas of cooperation and explored ways to enhance joint environmental efforts, in addition to exchanging expertise and experiences in the fields of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and achieving environmental sustainability.
Facilitated by the Tanzanian Embassy in Qatar, the meetings brought together officials from both nations to explore areas of mutual interest in environmental management, climate change adaptation, and sustainable water systems.
H.E. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Ahmad Al Mahmoud, said there is a strong institutional alignment between his ministry and NEMC. “Our core mandates in environmental protection are closely aligned, particularly in the areas of climate change mitigation, waste management, and ecological conservation. This creates a natural platform for collaboration,” he noted, adding that Qatar is open to structured partnerships that drive sustainable outcomes for both nations.
