Senior Officials from National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) with the Management Team of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation, (KAHRAMAA)

Tanzania is positioning itself for a stronger International role in environmental sustainability through emerging cooperation with Qatar, following a series of strategic meetings held by the National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) and key stakeholders in Doha on the 24th of April, 2025. The Tanzanian team held bilateral meetings with several Qatari institutions, including Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), which oversees the production and distribution of potable water and electricity. These engagements allowed Tanzanian stakeholders to learn from Qatar’s advanced systems in water treatment, waste management, and environmental monitoring.
