Tanzania and Qatar Strengthen Tourism and Investment Ties Through B2B Networking Dinner Event
Doha, Qatar: 26th November 2025 
The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Doha, in collaboration with Tanzanian tourism and investment stakeholders, successfully hosted a Tourism and Investment Business-to-Business (B2B) Networking Dinner Event with Qatari tour and travel agencies at the Sheraton Hotel, Doha. The event aimed to showcase Tanzania’s tourism and investment opportunities while fostering strong partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The evening highlighted the vast potential for collaboration in tourism, trade, infrastructure, agriculture, and energy sectors, positioning Tanzania as a prime destination for investment and tourism.
Approximately 50 participants attended, including representatives from Tanzanian government institutions, private sector actors, and Qatari tour and travel agencies (Destination Management Companies – DMCs). The event provided a platform for informal networking, knowledge exchange, and exploring business opportunities.
The event was officially opened by H.E Amb. Dr. Ramadhani K. Dau and in his remarks, he emphasized on the significance of strengthening tourism and investment linkages between Tanzania and Qatar. While H.E. Habibu A. Mohamed, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Qatar, extended a warm welcome to all participants.
Key Tanzanian institutions, including the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA), Tanzania Investment and Services Centre (TISEZA), Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC), Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), and Tanzanian DMCs, presented the country’s tourism offerings and investment opportunities. Participants engaged in interactive discussions to explore potential collaborations and partnerships.
The event concluded with a networking dinner, allowing participants to exchange contacts, share insights, and deepen business relationships. A vote of thanks was delivered by a representative of Tanzanian Travel and Tour Agencies, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and organizers.
Looking ahead, the following steps were recommended:
• Sustained Engagement: Organize follow-up B2B meetings and virtual sessions to maintain momentum.
• Formal Collaboration Platform: Establish a structured framework for Tanzania-Qatar tourism and investment partnerships.
• Joint Promotion Initiatives: Enhance visibility of Tanzanian destinations and investment opportunities in Qatar through coordinated marketing campaigns.
The event successfully strengthened bilateral tourism and investment cooperation, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration between Tanzania and Qatar.
