The United Republic of Tanzania and the State of Qatar have explored opportunities for cooperation in agriculture and livestock development following a bilateral meeting between Mr. Osward Bankobeza, Assistant Commissioner of Prisons, Tanzania Prisons Service, and Ms. Maryam Khalid Al-Attiyah, Vice-Chairperson of 35 Investment Holding, held in Doha on 19 October 2026.
The meeting provided a platform for establishing institutional contacts and exploring potential areas of collaboration, particularly in agriculture and livestock development. The engagement also reflected the growing interest in strengthening partnerships between Tanzanian public institutions and Qatari investment entities.
Both sides recognized the importance of further engagement to identify specific areas of cooperation and establish practical follow-up arrangements. The initiative is expected to contribute to broader efforts to promote investment, strengthen institutional partnerships and advance Tanzania–Qatar economic cooperation.
